Trimble E2M

Engineering Asset & Maintenance Management

Trimble® E2M rail engineering asset and maintenance system manages assets and components, streamlines parts and materials usage, and optimizes resources and procurement.

Maintain and manage the cost effectiveness of rail assets

Designed by rail experts for the rail and transportation industry

Trimble E2M is designed specifically for the rail and transport infrastructure sectors to manage and control assets and components and to streamline parts and materials management. It allows rail organizations to maintain and manage the cost effectiveness of assets by improving asset reliability, resource and capacity planning, and work utilization while reducing operating costs. Whether managing rolling stock or just specific critical components (i.e. wheelsets or brakes) Trimble E2M enables the effective planning of maintenance across depots, resources, and material requirements.
Maximize engineering maintenance workflows
The E2M system’s workshop management and defect reporting allows organizations to plan maintenance across depots and resources. Centralized procurement gives a single view to aid the management of stock, assets, components and suppliers, and warranty management is efficiently handled. It can also interface to existing financial systems for end-to-end workflows.
Mobile applications takes maintenance data where it is needed
Maintenance technician efficiency improves dramatically through the use of the E2M mobile applications. The Trimble E2M Workshop and E2M Defect Reporting apps replace error-prone pen and paper workflows with the ability to work on mobile phones or tablet devices saving time, increasing productivity, improving data accuracy, and ultimately saving money.

Reduce and streamline labor costs

Identify and reduce repeat defects by identifying the true cause of the defect minimizing costly rework. Monitor defect history over time against each asset to prevent repeat defects making assets unavailable for service.

Optimize maintenance planning

Plan maintenance to identify opportunities and ensure depot capacities for resources and infrastructure are not exceeded. Ensure all assets are maintained on-time in accordance with the maintenance schedule.

Increase asset and stock availability

Ensure asset and stock availability by monitoring usage over time with Trimble E2M. Automatically define re-order levels against each part to ensure stock levels meet demand. Control centralized procurement by defining central stores to manage stock for satellite stores.

Ensure more successful warranty claims

Every warranty claim raised in E2M can identify the fitment and receipt date, serial number, and complete history ensuring that less warranty claims are contested.

Improve safety

Effective safety critical work control ensures safety issues are minimized.
