Nexala Insights is a planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis engine. It enables users to react to events in real-time; make calculated and informed decisions; build scenarios and plan for all eventualities.
Nexala Insights allows users to run real-time reports, with features that allow them to interact with the data, including drill-down, slicing, dicing, sorting, graphs and rules-based colour coding for exception highlighting. Outputs are accessible from the Decision Dashboard by default, and can also be exported to Microsoft Office as Excel, PDF or Word documents. Outputs and reports can also be viewed from mobile devices.
Insights provides the following:
- Full multidimensional analysis: and reporting for both historical and real-time data. Reports are delivered to a web based dashboard with a comprehensive user toolset to interrogate the data.
- Insights Workbench: The workbench allows users to create reports, control security access to data and manage the reporting environment.
- The Insights dashboard: The dashboard is a web-based reporting platform, enabling users to interrogate the data to see trends, monitor performance and investigate root causes of problems.
- Automated data processing: Insights automates the process of collecting data from different systems, validating and auditing the data and then processing the data into business reports and scorecards.
- Exception reporting: Insights also provides exception reporting as required, informing users only when a problem occurs. Users can be informed via the dashboard or via email or SMS.
- Forecasting: Insights uses a variety of techniques that identify patterns and trends in the previous history of events or activities and then calculates/forecasts the potential of that event or a similar event re-occurring at some point in the future. For example a potential peak in stock demands; the likely time of part failures, and so on.
The forecasting module supports a number of different statistical algorithms, including linear regression, exponential smoothing and moving averages. Event models can provide adjustments to the forecast for special events like promotions or seasonality, or other irregular occurrences.
