Hitachi selects Nexala for Maintenance Management and Decision Support

London, United Kingdom, November 7th 2006:

Nexala have been selected to provide Maintenance Management, Decision Support, and Performance Analysis systems to support the maintenance of the new Hitachi Class 395 Electric Train fleet for the Integrated Kent Franchise (IKF).

Hitachi, which is one of the world’s largest Train manufacturers, will use Nexala's software across the fleet of 29 x 6 car, dual voltage, electric multiple unit trains which will be serviced and maintained at several locations throughout the IKF franchise area.

Mr. Andy Barr, Head of Maintenance Delivery, Hitachi added that: "Nexala were chosen due to their established record within the UK rail sector. We evaluated a number of systems software providers and chose Nexala due to the breadth of functionality of their systems and the match with our requirements."

The Equinox product will play an integral role in Hitachi's maintenance operations for the IKF franchise.
