Business Intelligence Consultant

Location: Dublin, Ireland

You will be responsible for developing and delivering BI solutions. You will have strong technical skills but you will also be business aware as you will be working closely with technical and business clients in both the pre-sales environment and in project work.

Key Requirements

Must have the basic skills for the role, including:

Experience with BI consulting
Functional and technical specifications gathering
Business requirements gathering

Must have worked with one or more BI tools
Must have experience of data warehousing, ideally with SQL Server
Must be able to design and deliver BI solutions
Experience in designing & developing DTS packages and connecting to multiple data sources with SQL Server.
Proficient with Microsoft Analysis Services and comfortable with MDX.
Must have experience with OLAP, dimensional modelling and ETL
Ideally will have broad experience of working with various databases – Oracle, Sybase, DB2 etc
Ideally will have development skills, with experience of Javascript, ASP, VB and so on.
Exposure to SQL Server 2005 would be an advantage but not a prerequisite.

Education

Bachelors degree in IT or Business degree with Post Graduate qualification in IT
