Senior Business Intelligence Consultant
Location: Dublin, Ireland
This is a key role in the company and the successful candidate will play a vital role in the success of our projects. You will be responsible for developing and delivering BI solutions based on the Nexala platform to new and existing Clients. You will have excellent technical skills and will also be very business aware as you will be working closely with technical and business clients in both the pre-sales environment and in project work.
Key Requirements
- Must have the basic skills for the role, including:
- Experience with BI consulting
- Project management
- Business requirements gathering
- Functional and technical specification gathering
- Must have worked with one or more BI tools
- Must have strong Client facing skills
- Must have experience of data warehousing, ideally with SQL Server
- Must be able to design and deliver BI solutions
- Experience in designing & developing DTS packages and connecting to multiple data sources with SQL Server.
- Proficient with Microsoft Analysis Services and comfortable with MDX.
- Must have experience with OLAP, dimensional modelling and ETL
- Ideally will have broad experience of working with various databases – Oracle, Sybase, DB2 etc
- Ideally will have development skills, with experience of Javascript, ASP, VB and so on.
- Exposure to SQL Server 2005 would be an advantage but not a prerequisite.
Education
- Bachelors degree in IT or Business degree with Post Graduate qualification in IT
